Halloween is a time for scary costumes and frightening shocks, mounds of sweets and spooky stories. And while you can find all of these things at home, there are selections of places abroad that go crazy for Halloween and really take the festivities to another level around this time of year. So if you feel like getting involved in these frightening festivities, here is a list of the top three places to holiday for Halloween. Remembrance Day also known around the world as Poppy Day or Armistice Day is observed on 11 November to recall the official end of World War I. On that date in 1918, all major hostilities of World War I were formally ended "at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month". The year 2011 makes this year celebration very special being 11th Day of November in the year 2011 (11.11.11). It is very symbolic for such extraordinary time in our lives.
